Michael Ray Sander, 59, of Everett passed away April 15, 2011.
He was born April 27, 1951 in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, the son of Manvil and Faye (Sholey) Sander and lived in Edmore, ND until he was a teenager. He then moved to Seattle, WA where he graduated from West Seattle High School. Michael served our country in the U. S. Marine Corp. as a Helicopter Mechanic. He was honorably discharged after 6 years of service. He then started his 29 year 7 month career at Boeing Aircraft Co. as a manufacturing engineer, at which time he started his battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Michael is survived by his Brothers: Scott (Debbie) Sander, Roger (Harriet) Dick and his Step-sons: Dru (Chris) Ellis of Auburn, WA and Rick Ellis of Everett; four grandchildren; James Ellis of Monroe, WA, Amber Ellis, Dru Ellis Jr. and McKenzie Ellis, all of Auburn, WA and one great-grandchild, Wahneeta of Omak, WA; also nephew Tyler and Niece Sarahann.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Chick; his parents, Faye and Manvil; sister Penny; stepson Darin, Niece Michell and Nephew Kenneth.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Ave., Everett. Michael will be laid to rest next to Chick, "the love of his life" at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
