The North Dakota Department of Transportation on Thursday opened Interstate 29 from Hillsboro to Fargo. I-29 from the Manvel interchange to the Grafton interchange still has water on the roadway and traffic is being detoured, except for truck and emergency vehicles.

The following areas/roadways still are closed because of flooding:

- U.S. Highway 2 Business Loop, Sorlie Bridge over the Red River in Grand Forks.

- N.D. Highway 17 is closed from I-29 to the Red River because of the closed Minnesota Highway 317.

The following highway is affected by floodwaters but remain open with traffic speeds reduced:

- I-29, both northbound and southbound roadways north of Harwood to Argusville, have water near the edge of the shoulder and may have reduced travel speeds.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution while traveling, as vehicles that leave the roadway may become immersed in high water. Motorists also should be aware that areas with water on the road may become icy as temperatures drop below freezing.
