Few people who see the Aurora Borealis - the Northern Lights - forget the natural light show wonder of the northern night sky, seen at times in the Red River region.
Terje Sorgjerd, a Norwegian photographer, has captured some of the more spectular images on videotape following a week spent recording the sky around Norway's Kirkenes park, near Russia.
According to one report, Sorgjerd searched from sunset to sunrise each night and took about 22,000 video and still photography shots of the Aurora. The video below is the result.
