BISMARCK — State officials including Gov. Jack Dalrymple and Federal Emergency Management Agency representatives today were meeting with city and county leaders in northeastern North Dakota to talk about flooding and the effort to battle it.

Flood briefings and tours were planned in the Grand Forks, Pembina and Neche areas.

Flood-fighting efforts in eastern North Dakota have been ongoing for weeks. The most serious problems are in the southern part of the Red River Valley.

The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services says those wanting to donate money, goods or services to help flood-impacted areas can go to www.nd.gov/des/donations.
