The Kennedy Bridge, already serving as the solo Red River span between East Grand Forks and Grand Forks, will see one of its four lanes close Tuesday and possible early Wednesday to accommodate some routine bridge structure testing.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will conduct the test analyses of the U.S. Highway 2 bridge structure, starting 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to City of Grand Forks news release.

In recent days, both the Point Bridge and the Sorlie Bridge closed, leaving the Kennedy as the sole bridge still open within the city limits of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

The Thompson Bridge south of Grand Forks also remains open for now.
