After construction of 12 miles of temporary emergency levees in the Fargo area, U.S. Army Corps engineers have shifted their work to monitoring and maintaining the earthen dikes. Guardsmen join the flood fight, helping monitor the levees to ensure they hold against potential record flooding of the Red River around Fargo this weekend.
