Kennedy Bridge remaining bridge open in GF-EGF
Authorities have closed the Sorlie Bridge between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, leaving the two communities with one bridge remaining open during the current Red River spring flood.

Authorities have closed the Sorlie Bridge between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, leaving the two communities with one bridge remaining open during the current Red River spring flood.

The Sorlie Bridge serves DeMers Avenue traffic for the two cities.

The Kennedy Bridge for U.S. Highway 2/Gateway Drive remains open. The nearest bridge outside the two cities is the Thompson bridge to the south.

The Point Bridge closed Friday morning.

Traffic was heavy on Gateway Drive at 12:30, with cars lined up from East Grand Forks west through Grand Forks as far as a driver could see.
