WEATHER: Snow, freezing rain Friday in NW, north-central N.D.
Snow is spreading across northwestern and north-central North Dakota Friday morning, with snow totals of two to five inches expected from Williston through Kenmare and from Minot to Rolla by Friday night. Snow is spreading across northwestern and north-central North Dakota this morning, with snow totals of two to five inches expected from Williston through Kenmare and from Minot to Rolla by tonight.
The heaviest snow amounts likely will be near the Canada border and in the higher elevations of the Turtle Mountains, the National Weather Service says.
Periods of freezing rain are possible this morning across northern North Dakota, which will cause slippery roads, the weather service said.
A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. for northwest and north-central North Dakota, extending as far east as Rolla.
