River Road Northwest is being closed this morning in East Grand Forks from the flood closure at Fourth Street and 5th Avenue Northwest to 17th Street Northwest.

Crews will also begin constructing flood closures on Fourth Street Northwest, 17th Street Northwest and 12th Street Northwest.

High water has also made the underpass and both exit ramps at the intersection of Highway 2 and Fourth Street Northwest impassible to traffic.

The Red River was measured at 38.4 feet as of 6:45 a.m. today, according to the City of East Grand Forks.

According to the city, the National Weather Service currently projects a crest of between 50 and 52 feet sometime next week.
