DICKINSON, N.D.

A van was laying on its side and two vehicles in the ditch along Interstate 94 between Gladstone and Exit 64 in Dickinson this morning, and officials continue to get calls for slide-offs.

A travel alert is in effect for Beulah, Beach, Belfield, Dickinson, Bowman and surrounding areas as of 7:40 a.m., according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation. A travel alert is also in effect for Watford City, New Town, Killdeer and surrounding areas.

Conditions are such that motorists can still travel, but may experience blowing and drifting snow causing icy roads and areas of reduced visibility. Motorists are encouraged to reduced speeds and drive according to the condition, according to the DOT.
