Victims of Grand Forks house fire identified
The woman killed in Friday's early morning house fire at 443 Campbell Drive was Teresa Numedahl, according to information released by Grand Forks County Fire Department Saturday morning. The Grand Forks woman killed in Friday's early morning house fire at 443 Campbell Drive was Teresa Numedahl, according to information released by Grand Forks County Fire Department this morning.
A death notice in today's Herald gives her age as 55.
Her husband, Jim Numedahl, was taken to Altru Hospital with unspecified injuries, the department said in a release. He was said to be in satisfactory condition Friday at Altru.
Three dogs inside the house also died, the release stated.
The fire caused an estimated $125,000 damage to the house and its contents, the fire department reported, while the fire's cause remains the subject of investigation.
"The Grand Forks Fire Department would like to remind all residents to ensure they have functioning smoke detectors in their homes," the release said.
