Patrick J. Mach, age 42 of Minto, ND passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident near Forest River, N.D.
Patrick J. Mach was born March 18, 1968 in Grafton, N.D., the son of Harold and Mary (Grzadzielewski) Mach. He attended school in Minto graduating from Minto High School in 1986. He attended Mayville State University for one year and then transferred to UND where he majored in Marketing. While in college he played baseball for both Mayville and UND. He pitched the first no hitter in UND's history. Following his graduation from UND in 1990 he went to work as an insurance agent for Nodak Mutual Insurance Company in Grand Forks. He was united in marriage to Lisa Krumland on June 29, 1991 in Munich, ND. The couple made their home in Minto, ND. In 1999 he started working as an insurance agent for Bremer.
Patrick was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw, ND. He was currently the President of the USCC, President of the Minto Park Board, he was one of the founders of Friends of Minto Baseball, and he was a member of the UND Alumni Committee. He has coached Basketball and Golf for Minto High School and was currently coaching Baseball.
Patrick is survived by his wife Lisa and son Adam of Minto, ND; his parents Harold and Mary Mach, Minto, ND; his brother James (Julie) Mach, and their children: Reilly, Andy & Eli, Fargo, ND; father and mother-in-law Bill and Barb Krumland, Devils Lake, ND; brother-in-law Todd Krumland, Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law: Karla (Marty) McDonald and their children: Madison, Dawson and Carson, East Grand Forks, MN. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and Wednesday for one hour prior to the service all at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Minto, ND.
