This tasty dessert is sure to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.

Caramel Brownies

1 18¼-ounce box German chocolate cake mix

¾ cup butter, melted

2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided use

1 cup chopped pecans

1 14-ounce package caramels

1 6-ounce cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat 9-by-13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup milk and pecans, stirring with until dough forms. Press half of dough into bottom of prepared baking dish. Bake 6 minutes, reserving remaining dough. In medium saucepan, melt caramels with remaining 1/3 cup of milk over medium heat, stirring. Remove dish from oven. Sprinkle chips over warm dough. Spread melted caramel mixture over chips. Crumble remaining dough randomly over top. Bake 20 minutes. It may look as though it is not done, but once it cools it will firm up. Cool on wire rack then refrigerate for at least an hour before cutting.

Yield: 48 brownies.
