BISMARCK — A new industry-funded survey shows nearly 90 percent of North Dakotans believe the state's booming oil industry is providing positive benefits to residents.
The study released today by the Bismarck-based North Dakota Petroleum Council said North Dakotans gave the oil industry a "B-plus" grade for being a responsible corporate citizen.
North Dakota Petroleum Council President Ron Ness says the oil industry is pleased that it's viewed as a good neighbor. But he says that doesn't mean there aren't some concerns about oil activity.
The telephone survey found the biggest worries about the state's oil patch are a lack of housing and road safety.
