By: Mark Jensen,

GRAND FORKS — January is National Blood Donor Month, and Dak Minn Blood Bank would like to salute our donors by saying thank you for saving a life.

Every day, thousands of blood donors give the gift of life. By giving blood, they touch the lives of people in need.

Their gift today means life for someone tomorrow.

The Grand Forks area is fortunate to have its own community blood bank. The Dak Minn Blood Bank was established in 1974 and is dedicated to providing a safe and adequate blood supply for our local community.

The Dak Minn Blood Bank is the primary provider of blood products for Altru Hospital. It is through the support of area blood donors that we are able to provide blood for patients in our community.

When you see a blood donor, be sure to thank him or her for saving a life.

Mark Jensen

Jensen is donor resource coordinator for Dak Minn Blood Bank.
