A travel alert has been issued for Interstate 94 between Bismarck and Fargo.

In a news release, the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services says that interstate and nearby roadways have become icy from wet conditions turning to ice and from wind blowing across the roadway.

Elsewhere, the Foster County Sheriff's Department has changed an original no-travel advisory in that county to a travel alert because of icy road conditions.
