CHEF JEFF — ONE BYTE AT A TIME: Corn Pudding

This sweet Southern-style side dish would be great for this month’s upcoming Thanksgiving Day meal — or any holiday feast for that matter.

This sweet Southern-style side dish would be great for this month’s upcoming Thanksgiving Day meal — or any holiday feast for that matter.

Corn Pudding

1 15-ounce can whole kernel corn, drained

1 14¾-ounce) can cream style corn

1 cup milk

¼ cup sugar

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon nutmeg

½ teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs, well beaten

2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

½ cup flour

Mix ingredients together gently. Pour into a buttered 2-quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until set.

Yield: Serves 6.
