Flood waters close Highway 68 near Morgan, Minn.
Heavy rain and flooding has forced some people from their homes and has closed roads in southern Minnesota.By: Associated Press,
MORGAN, MINN. - State Highway 68 at the west edge of Morgan has closed to traffic due to flooding.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation District 8 office in Willmar, Minn., Highway 68 traffic in Morgan will be detoured on Redwood County Road 13, to Highway 67 and back to Highway 68.
The detour will remain in effect until the high water recedes.
Motorists are asked to use extreme caution while driving on any flooded section of any county or state road.
Flagging operations had guided traffic through the water covered area on Highway 68 near Morgan earlier today, according to MnDOT.
Because flooding conditions can change rapidly, motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution when approaching the area.
