By: Herald Staff Report,

Crispy, sauteed potatoes can be a snap to make in a nonstick skillet — and a tasty side dish — if you use the canned variety.

Sauteed Garlic Potatoes

1 pound drained canned potatoes

1 tablespoon canola oil

4 large garlic cloves, crushed

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cut potatoes in half and add to the skillet. Toss 2 to 3 minutes or until golden. Add garlic and toss 1 minute. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Yield: Serves 2.
