Altru offers H1N1, seasonal flu shots

Altru Health System still has 2,600 doses of H1N1 and 2,500 doses of seasonal flu vaccines respectively, according to an Altru press release. Altru officials say February is when seasonal influenza usually peaks.

The Altru Clinic pediatric department offers both vaccinations by appointment in family practice only to children younger than 9. Those older than 9 should call their primary care office or any of the Altru Clinics to receive their vaccinations. Patients are also encouraged to ask for the vaccinations at any of their scheduled clinic appointments.

All branch clinics accept walk-ins for all ages for either vaccine.
