Pulled pork is a item popular on many restaurant menus these days. But you don’t have to go out to eat to enjoy it.
Pulled Pork Sandwiches
1 2-pound pork roast
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon Morton’s Nature’s Seasons Seasoning Blend
1 tablespoon canola oil
½ cup water or chicken broth
1 16-ounce bottle barbecue sauce
8 buns
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Trim any excess fat from roast. In small bowl, combine salt, pepper, minced onion, garlic powder and seasoning blend. Rub over pork. In medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add roast and sear on all sides. Place roast in baking dish. Add water. Cover with foil. Bake for about 1 hour. Uncover and roast until fork-tender. Remove from oven. Using two forks, shred roast. Pour barbecue sauce over pork and mix. Cover with foil. Return to oven to heat. Remove from oven. Serve on buns.
