The Dakota Diabetes Coalition’s annual Diabetes Summit is set for Oct. 16 at Bismarck’s United Tribes Technical College, which is co-sponsoring the event.
The daylong gathering will showcase how Valley City dietitian Sharon Buhr adapted a national program to help prevent diabetes in Barnes County.
Summit attendees also will discuss ways to gain traction against North Dakota’s diabetes epidemic.
