WEDDING: Schanilec-Kaffar

Hayley Joy Schanilec and Daniel Joel Kaffar celebrated the Sacrament of Marriage on July 11, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Minto, ND, with Reverends Joseph Christensen, John Kleinschmidt and James Cheney officiating. Parents of the couple are Rod and Joan Schanilec of Minto, ND, and Tim and Barb Kaffar of Zap, ND.

Hayley’s attendants were Rebecca Barclay and Ashley Grunhovd along with her sisters Laura Cirner, Ginger Spronk and Angie Halverson. Mark and Kris Kaffar, brothers of the groom, were groomsmen as well as Steve and Theodore Hoepfner and Jason Eilers. The ushers were Tom Cirner, Justin Spronk and John Halverson, brothers-in-law of the bride, and the groom’s friend Adam Hoffert. Hannah and Ava Halverson, nieces of the bride, were the flower girls.

The social hour, dinner and wedding dance were held at the Minto Community Center. The newlyweds live in Mayville, ND, where Hayley is employed by Mayville State University as the Coordinator of Enrollment Services Marketing. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. Dan will graduate in May with a degree in Elementary Education from North Dakota State University in Fargo. He is employed by Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mayville as the Director of Religious Education.
