Fosston man sentenced for string of fires set in Clearwater and Polk counties

A Fosston, Minn., man was sentenced Tuesday in Clearwater County District Court in Bagley to 38 months in prison for four felony arson charges.

Nick Adam Schouviller was convicted earlier of the four counts of aiding and abetting arson in a Feb. 8, 2008 fire in Zion Lutheran Church northwest of Bagley and Aug. 3 fires in the Eddy Town Hall, Leon Town Hall and B&M Supply near Clearbrook.

Schouviller also recently was sentenced in Polk County for felony arson and felony burglary for a house fire also set Aug. 3.

Levi Coyer, 20, of Fosston, also faces charges in the Aug. 3 arsons. Coyer’s next court date is July 8.

Judge Paul Rasussen also ordered Schouviller to pay more than $500,000 in restitution for the fires in Clearwater and Polk counties.
