Thompson bridge to close; Alerus to be used as shelter at 4 p.m. today

The Thompson bridge south of Grand Forks will be closing soon, said Doug Stern, a fire captain with the Grand Forks Fire Department and an incident commander at the GF County Emergency Operations Center.
Also, starting Thursday, the Alerus Center will be used as a American Red Cross shelter at 4 p.m. today.
