Antique cars will be on display in Grand Forks this weekend.
The Grand Forks County Historical Society is hosting its 10th annual History Rocks antique car show Sunday. The event will feature classic cars, bikes and antique military vehicles. Many of the automobiles will be from the 1950s and ’60s. Music from that era will also be provided by Kenny and the Classics.
“It’s just a fun way to celebrate the past and get the community together,” said Amber Bouret of the Grand Forks County Historical Society.
For the second straight year, the Old Time Gas Station, which was dedicated to the historical society last summer, will be opened to the public.
“Everybody who comes out can see the cool cars and check out the museum buildings,” Bouret said. “There’s a little sometime for everyone.”
Registration for the vehicles begins at 10 a.m., with the show running from noon to 4 p.m. Vehicle registration is $10.
Hundreds have turned out to the event in past shows, and the historical society is expecting another large crowd this weekend, Bouret said.
Along with the car show, there will also be food and root beer floats for sale.
History Rocks is open to the public and costs $5 to attend.
