UND students learn on the field by helping athletes
UND held its third football practice of fall camp Monday a Memorial Stadium, where more than 90 players were on the field for the two-hour session.
A big part of each practice, and each game, is UND’s athletic training staff.
On Monday, there were 13 student trainers helping with practice in a variety of ways.

The students are majoring in athletic training, working to obtain a bachelor of science degree through the UND School of Medicine.
Overall, there are 37 students in the athletic training program.
The students are led by Steve Westereng, UND’s director of sports medicine.
