Christian B. Potucek, 20, was charged with fleeing police, receiving stolen property, driving drunk and driving without a valid license. The car he drove was a stolen.

Around 2 p.m. Monday, the sheriff’s department received a report that an erratic driver had struck a car at a Cenex store in Warren, Minn., before heading north on U.S. Highway 75, according to a news release. Sheriff’s deputies pursued the driver to Argyle, Minn., and then back. As they approached the town, deputies called off the chase to avoid danger to the public.

Investigators later found the car, which they identified as stolen from Pennington County, at a home near Radium, Minn. That’s where they arrested Potucek.

His bond was set at $5,000. He remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon.
