Fargo resident Marvin Schneider and Evie Delasontos of Mesa, Ariz., picked out a piece of rhubarb pie at the 21st annual Rhubarb Festival Saturday at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.

The festival featured an array of rhubarb creations, from pie, cookies and cake to ice cream, Jell-O and sauce.

Held the second Saturday of June, the festival began as a way to raise money and has since become a huge boost financially for the church. This year the money raised from the event is going to the church’s youth program and to help fund a group trip to Ecuador.
