Spencer C. Stevenson, 56, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home.

Spencer Conrad Stevenson was born June 27, 1958 in Rugby, ND the son of Boyd and Lois (Strand) Stevenson. He was raised in Leeds and graduated from Leeds High School in 1976. As a student, he participated in football and basketball. He graduated with a degree in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. After working for Simplot and Dakota Food, he found his home at the Ralph Engelstad Arena as the Systems Operator for the past 11 years. Spencer married Kim Wockovich on July 15, 1978, with whom he had 2 sons: Jared and Jeffrey. Spencer was later married to Sheri Fonder in 1997. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, playing bingo, and watching his Vikings and Sioux Hockey in his man cave. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his sons and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and big heart.

He is survived by his sons: Jared (Jennifer) Stevenson, East Grand Forks, MN, Jeff (Lindsay) Stevenson, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Abby, Preston, Brody, Aiden, Liam, and Eliana; his father, Boyd Stevenson, Rugby, ND, his mother, Lois Harrison, Detroit lakes, MN; brothers, Sidney (Paulette), Maple Grove, MN, Sandy (Cathy), Dakota Dunes, SD, Steve (Linda), Leeds, ND, Scott (Becky), Denver, CO; a sister, Sheila Bailey, Knoxville, TN and his Special Friend, Sue Hach, Grand Forks, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home-Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Saturday.

Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
