People from far and wide flocked to city park in downtown Reynolds, North Dakota for the fourth annual Rib-O-Rama Cookout and Contest.
Competitive BBQ teams, 5 in all, came together to dish out there best ribs, chili, and baked beans in hopes of taking home a first place trophy and possible recognition across the state.
However the annual cookout did not always include a contest.
"We really enjoyed having the annual cookout each year," Rib-O-Rama event planner Jen Rogers said. "So we thought of ways to raise money for the community and figured we'd start having a competitive cookout."
The contest, only in it's second year, has grown steadily since its inception. The money raised goes towards funding for local fire departments, fixing up nearby parks, and even offering a college scholarship for high school in the area.
