REVIEW: St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray
It's the most wonderful time of the year -- for dry skin. Stores can't keep lotions and serums in stock throughout the season and the dry-skin sufferers will stop at nothing to keep the itch away.
St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray is a breakthrough product for incessantly dry and itchy skin, especially for places on the body that are hard to reach and prone to dryness -- like the back. With an easy spray dispenser, the light lotion moisturizes the skin with a dewy coating and almost instantly refreshes using ingredients that are 100 percent natural. Holding the bottle at the recommended 4 inches away from the skin and pressing on the top of the dispenser, the mist is quickly slurped up by the affected area.
During a five-day period, I tested the products on my arms, legs and back. Almost instantly, my skin felt less like an alligator and more soft, moisturized and smooth than it had at the beginning of the season -- particularly for my back, which used to be impossible to reach. The option to use a spray feature rather than a bottle with a pump was quicker and easier than having to take the rings off my fingers and slather my body with a thick, sticky moisturizer. And I found that only one application was sufficient.
This is the perfect product for those who need assistance with applying lotion and for those who dislike the slippery, sticky feeling, but need relief from painfully parched skin.
This new St. Ives product is not as extensive as the original body lotion series, but the fragrances offered are light and calming: Soothing Oatmeal and Shea Butter, Coconut Milk and Orchid Extract and Citrus and Vitamin C.
