REVIEW: Cover Girl Outlast Lip Stain
I rarely wear lipstick, but now that I’m 30, I figure, it’s time to live a little.
I bought Cover Girl’s Outlast Lip Stain in Saucy Plum as training wheels for big-girl lipstick, and it’s pretty good.
It’s built like a permanent marker, with a rounded point that allows you to take care when applying it to the curves of your lips. I loved this feature because it gave my mouth the perfect amount of definition.
But, this layout makes it a bit difficult to apply adequate layers to the rest of your lips.
My top and bottom lips are naturally a slightly different color, so I found myself reapplying — over and over — to try to make an even consistency. Here’s where actual lipstick would be perfect.
Aside from that, Cover Girl’s Outlast Lip Stain does what it promises.
I wore it for about 12 hours, fell asleep without taking it off and it left a smudge on my pillow. (This bad boy lasts.)
For $6.82 at Target, it’s a bit pricy to do what I want it to, but it’s a light, semi-permanent way to add pizzazz to my lips that won’t easily rub off on my teeth. Though, this product might be best paired with big-girl lipstick or a rich gloss.
