Hibbing-Chisholm 1

Cale Mack had two goals and three assists to lead East Grand Forks Senior High to a win over Hibbing-Chisholm on Friday.

"We wanted to end the regular season on a good note," said Senior High coach Matt Stengl. "We came out strong in the first half and were able to keep pouring it on in the second."

Grant Frydenlund provided two goals and two assists. Cole Orthaus, Dane Rhen, and Austin Clifton scored the other goals for Senior High.

The Green Wave ended their regular season at 8-7-1. They will play in the section play-in game on Thursday.

GIRLS SOCCER

Senior High 4,

Hibbing-Chisholm 2

Riley Koberinski scored twice to rally East Grand Forks Senior High past Hibbing-Chisholm on Friday.

Hibbing-Chisholm led 2-1 when Senior High's Coco Piche scored on a penalty kick to tie the game.

"She hasn't missed one all year," said Senior High coach Jessica Krog of Piche's goal. "I think that got us going.

Alex Arroyo also scored for Senior High, which improved to 13-2-1.

The Wave will host a Minnesota Section 8A game on Thursday.

COLLEGE SOCCER

Northern Colo. 2, UND 1

UND's Zoe Foster scored early in the second half but Northern Colorado captured the Big Sky Conference match when Essence Ortiz-Lanier scored the winning goal in the 53rd minute.

UND managed 12 shots in the contest, the third-most for North Dakota this season.

Junior goalkeeper Kristi Hestdalen made six saves for UND.

North Dakota will host Montana next Friday in another Big Sky game.

• Men's cross country: UND's Nate Peterson finished 20th and teammate Sam Saccoman ended 22nd to place UND at Friday's SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D. UND finished sixth among 11 teams. South Dakota State won the meet with a score of 27. UND finished with a 146.

• Women's cross country: Erin Wysocki led UND during Friday's SDSU Classic by finishing 27th. Her time was 18 minutes, 25.36 seconds, one minute off the pace set by medalist Molly Kayfes of Minnesota. The Gophers won the meet with a score of 15. UND finished fifth out of 12 teams.
