Overland flooding in Marshall County prompts MnDOT closes sections of Highways 220, 317
A section of Minnesota Highways 220 and 317 in western Marshall County has been closed because of flooding, the state Department of Transportation said today.
The affected section of Highway 220 is from County Road 4 to County Road 5. The affected section from Highway 317 is from Highway 220 to the North Dakota border.
The roads won't reopen until floodwaters recede and construction crews have evaluated the damage, if any.
MnDOT says the penalty for driving on a road that has been closed could be as high as $1,000 in fines and 90 days in jail.
