Fishing

• Jan. 3-5: North American Ice Fishing Circuit qualifying tournament, Lake Metigoshe, Bottineau, N.D. Held in conjunction with the North Dakota Bluegill Championship. Top 10 teams automatically will advance to the 2014 NAIFC championship. Tournament will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 5, and "Mr. Ice Fishing," Dave Genz, will give a seminar at 7 p.m. Jan. 3 at Twin Oaks Resort, which also will be headquarters for the tournament weigh-in at 2 p.m. Jan. 5. • Jan. 10-11: Wounded Warriors Guide Service ice fishing tournament on Devils Lake. Woodland Resort is tournament headquarters, and Creel Bay is tournament boundary. Prefishing allowed Jan. 10, and tournament is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 11. Entry fee: $100 per two-person team, limited to 150 teams. • Jan. 11: "Battle of the Bulge Vintage Sniper Rifle Match," Forks Rifle Club, eight miles west of Merrifield, N.D., on Grand Forks County Road 6. Relay times are 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. A 3 p.m. relay will be added if other relays are full. Limited to CMP Rule 6.4.3 vintage sniper rifle or Section 6.3 as-issued military rifle.
