North Dakota museum will host news exhibit
The North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck will unveil the Newspaper Hall of Fame May 2 as part of the dedication of the renovated center, the North Dakota Newspaper Association said Friday.
The hall of fame, established in 1933, will take the form of a kiosk that displays information about the 51 people in it. Until now, it has been housed in a reading room at UND.
Members include George Winship, the founder of the Herald, and Norman B. Black, the founder of the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, both inducted in 1933. Bill Marcil, the current owner of the Forum and its parent company Forum Communications, became the latest inductee in 2005.
The dedication of the Hall of Fame will be 3 p.m. May 2 during the NDNA convention.
