Motorcyclist cited for driving 128 mph in 55-mph zone south of Moorhead
A 21-year-old Barnesville, Minn., man was pulled over Tuesday for driving a motorcycle 128 mph in a 55-mph zone south of Moorhead, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to a Patrol news release, Jacob Louis Gehrig was stopped on his motorcycle without incident and cited for driving the excessive speed, which is a $385 fine.
In addition, drivers charged with driving in excess of 100 mph can have their driving privileges revoked for a six-month period, the State Patrol said.
The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. when a state tropper clocked the southbound motorcycle on County Road 52 between Sabin and Baker, Minn., about 10 miles south of Moorhead.
