LETTER: Thanks for making Fashion Night a success
GRAND FORKS — We’d like to thank the Greater Grand Forks community for supporting Downtown Fashion Night.
Fashion Night is an event co-sponsored by the Good Girls Club and Truyu. The goal is to raise money for a local organization we believe in. This year’s recipient was Camp Good Mourning — a camp for children and teenagers who have lost a loved one.
From ticket sales and contributions of supporting businesses, we raised more than $13,600.
We sincerely appreciate the time, talents and contributions of all of the downtown businesses (too many to list!), Truyu, UND men’s hockey, Katie O’Keefe Hale, Grand Forks Special Events Program, Altru Health Foundation and Sadie Gardner.
The evening was filled with fashion, hair and make-up styles, entertainment, delicious samplings from downtown restaurants and 30 amazing door prizes. Because of the support of the downtown businesses, the tickets were only $30, and 100 percent of the ticket sales will go directly to the camp.
The Empire Theatre was the perfect setting, and we hope everyone enjoyed the evening as much as we did. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2015.
The writers are members of the Grand Forks Good Girls Club.
