LETTER: Sad to see Ann Bailey’s column go
PEKIN, N.D. — We want to thank the Herald for giving us Ann Bailey’s real life column for so many years. It only came once a week, but it was wonderful.
Bailey opened her life and that of her family to us. We felt like we knew them and even could share common experiences though we have never met her or her family.
Bailey’s column was refreshing and uplifting because it was real and honest and moral. It was a window into the lives of a real North Dakota family, which faced and experienced common problems and was sustained by a living faith.
So, we thank the Herald for giving us Bailey’s column, but we also express our dismay and regret that the newspaper has found it necessary to discontinue her column. We are all losers for that decision.
