LETTER: It’s not just teens who text while driving
GRAND FORKS — Driving down Washington Street yesterday, I saw at least six parents texting while driving.
How did I know they were parents? Because they had their children’s sports stickers on their windows, and some even had their children with them.
And we thought it was only the teens who were having the texting-while-driving problems!
I don’t think society is sending the right message. If Mom can text while driving, why can’t I?
I was really disappointed by seeing parents put their childrens’ lives at risk.
We need to start putting the focus on adults (parents) and their texting habits. It isn’t just the kids!
Let’s address this while we still have children to raise. Mom and Dad are as guilty as the next teen.
