Creutz benefit: A spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser will be held for Lynnette Creutz from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the East Grand Forks Eagles Club, 227 10th St. N.W. Creutz is a retired special education teacher who continues to work and volunteer part time. She has been diagnosed with multiple disabilities, including lipo-lymphedema, a genetic condition that causes painful leg enlargement, and spondylolisthesis, a degenerative spinal condition. Host families: The ASSE International Student Exchange Programs are looking for local families to host boys and girls between 15 and 18 from a variety of countries around the world. Students are eager to practice their English and experience American culture but will also share their own culture with host families. Dahlen benefit: A donation fund has been set up at the North Dakota Association for the Disabled for Lexie Dahlen, 19, who has been in the hospital since her May 13 liver transplant.
