According to a news release, there is a person of interest who is a “prior domestic partner of the victim.”

Police have not yet found the person, according to Sgt. Travis Jacobson. He said he’s not sure the person, a man, would be charged.

Police spent several hours looking for a van with a 5-year-old girl in it. Someone had taken the van from the parking lot of the Hugo’s grocery store on South Washington Street. Within about an hour, the van and the girl were found separately in the south end. A medical examination determined she was not physically harmed.
