A Grand Forks man was injured in a crash this afternoon, according to police.

Greg Mourne, 51, was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Altru Hospital. Police said they didn't know the extent of his injury.

The accident happened around 2:25 p.m. at the corner of 17th Street South and 17th Avenue South. Brooke Hillesland, 21, was northbound in a Honda Ridgeline on 17th Street when she failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled out in front of the Oldsmobile driven by Arthur Paulson, 54, Erskine, Minn., police said. Paulson was unable to stop and struck the Honda.

Mourne was a passenger in Paulson's car. No one else was injured.

Hillesland was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
