Grand Forks man arrested in suspected terrorizing

Grand Forks police officers arrested a man early this morning suspected of threatening another with a knife in a domestic dispute on the west side of the city.

A 911 call at about 6:30 a.m. today reported a man armed with a knife at 4802 Sixth Ave. N., which is a residence west of Interstate 29 next to Richard's West Park. It appeared a man intervening in a domestic disturbance was threatened by another man wielding a knife. A knife was recovered at the scene and Jake Doornek, 26, was taken to the Grand Forks County jail where he’s expected to be charged with two felony counts of terrorizing and a lesser count of interfering with a 911 call.

No injuries were reported, according to the police news release.
