Golfers bring their A-game to 14th annual Happy Harry's best-ball golf tournament

Within 48 hours the registration sold out for the 14th annual Happy Harry's best-ball golf tournament. With donated prizes ranging from golf equipment to televisions and surround sound systems, the tournament is far different from your standard relaxed local golf event.

"People bring their A-game," said Happy Harry's General Manager Dustin Mitzel. "These guys really want to win."

"We get the who's who of the Red River Valley golfers," said Happy Harry's Grand Forks Manager Greg Rixen.

The four-man teams pay a $200/player entry fee, which includes the full round of golf, and access to brats for lunch and a prime rib dinner. In addition to the loads of prizes, players are also given access to a silent auction featuring rare top shelf liquor, signed sports memorabilia and various other premium items.

All proceeds go to Empire Arts Center, a sum of about $32-34,000, which includes the yearly donation of $2,000 from Absolut Vodka.
