BAGLEY, Minn. — The season came to an end for East Grand Forks Senior High on Tuesday night in the Minnesota Section 8AA north subsection championship game.

Vanessa Lane scored a game-high 24 points to lead Pequot Lakes over East Grand Forks Senior High.

“We played a very good team tonight, but the girls never gave up,” said Senior High coach Emily Ruemmele. “I am very proud of my seniors. They were leaders on and off the court this season and the underclassmen will have some big shoes to fill.”

Kayla Miller also scored 16 points for the Patriots.

Kelsey Schlenk led the Green Wave with 11 points.

The Green Wave finished the season at 15-14.

Pequot Lakes advances to the Section 8AA final Friday night at Concordia. Pequot Lakes will play Hawley.
