GFPD suspect DUI in DeMers crash
Grand Forks North Dakota 375 2nd Ave. N. 58203

A Grand Forks woman was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed into a car on Demers Avenue in front of the Central Fire Station.

Kelsey J. Hirsch was driving a Dodge sedan at about 5:30 p.m. when it had a flat tire in the 500 block of Demers, said Sgt. Duane Simon.

She continued down Demers and then lost control of the vehicle, striking from behind a Toyota sedan stopped at the intersection with South Washington Street, he said.

No one was injured in the crash. Both vehicles were damaged and towed from the scene of the accident.

An officer was administering a sobriety test on Hirsch at the scene. She was also cited for failing to have control over her vehicle.
