Finally, it’s time for some football.

Grand Forks Red River also held its first practice Wednesday as both the Roughriders and Central prepare for their openers in roughly two weeks.

Across the Red River, East Grand Forks Senior High and Polk County West (the co-op between East Grand Forks Sacred Heart and Climax-Fisher) opened practice earlier this week.

The season openers for all four Greater Grand Forks schools:

  •  Bismarck High at Red River, Aug. 29.
  •  Central at Jamestown, Aug. 29.
  •  Senior High at Barnesville, Aug. 29.
  •  Polk County West at NCE/Ulen-Hitterdal, Aug 28.
