First Assembly of God Church picnic

The First Assembly of God Church in Crookston will host a picnic following the morning worship service Sunday. Contact the church to see what items are needed. Dishes, silverware and drinks will be handled by the church. In case of inclement weather, the even will be in the Fellowship Hall.

Hoedown planned

A wild west hoedown is planned by St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fertile, Minn., on Sept. 6 from 1 p.m. to midnight at the Polk County Fairgrounds. There will be activities, games and food. All donations are welcome.

Thompson church to host fall dinner

St. Jude’s Catholic Church will host a fall dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 at the church, 329 Broadway St., Thompson, N.D.

Turkey, dressing, old-fashion mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, green beans, garden vegetables, homemade buns, cranberries and pumpkin dessert will be served. The cost is $9 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 12, $3 for children 5 and younger, and $9.50 for take-out. There will also be a bake sale.

Steak supper planned in Petersburg

The annual Swiss steak supper will be Sept. 21 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Petersburg Lutheran Church, 310 Fifth St., Petersburg, N.D.

Lutefisk, meatballs on menu at bible camp

The Park River Bible Camp will host a lutefisk and meatball dinner from noon to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the camp, 106 Solid Rock Circle, Park River, N.D. The cost is $20 per person, but free for children 12 and younger.

St. Petri Women’s Sunday dinner fundraiser

St. Petri Women in Nielsville, Minn., will prepare a home-cooked meal for its annual fundraiser Sept. 28 at the St. Petri Lutheran Church, Highway 75 S. in Nielsville. There will be pork loin, baked potatoes, fruit, vegetable salads and an ice cream sundae bar. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Suggested donations are $9 for adults and $5 for children.
